Good Morning! Well, it certainly has been an eventful long weekend! I hope that you all are warm and happy. Hopefully, your homes were not damaged over the course of the ice storm. We really were quite lucky. I am so thankful that our two birch trees bounced back. For a while there they resembled the letter "M"!
It is great to have the cherubs back in class. This week will be filled with music practices for our Christmas show. Please read the previous message for information about the show. If you do not have tickets for the show on Friday night please send in your request to Mrs. O'Donnell in the office asap!
This week we will be wrapping up our units 5 and 6 book in SUPERKIDS. We will be reviewing spelling words this week and on Friday we will have a mini quiz with 6 words that we have in our current units of study. (No formal list this week or next!) Progress Reports will be sent home today, 12/16. Please sign and return them asap!
I would like to say a huge thank you to the parents and children who supported our Advent Angel project. We were able to buy our Giving Tree child a new winter coat, hat, waterproof mittens, and a set of fleece pajamas. It is such a gift for me to see the joy and pride that is felt by my students. Our Advent Angels had a total of 190 hearts colored in. The kids were so excited to learn that their collective work equaled a total of 190 good deeds done by our class! If you have a chance please check out our Advent Angels tree hanging on our classroom door.
